Ali Shaheed Muhammad & Adrian Younge joined Azymuth, redefining Brazilian jazz and futuristic funk on the single 'A Redor Do Samba'. This time, Shaheed and Younge join the outstanding saxophonist Gary Bartz on 'Day by Day', with a video that takes you on a trip through the historical struggle for human rights in America. The new single, out on Jazz is Dead, is a luxuriant soundscape made from a singing saxophone, colourful bass playing, and tender organ. Group vocals unite for a woozy phrase, 'day by day', that gains deeper meaning from the video that shows police brutality, contrasted by black resistance.
